Sports massage is a form of massage involving the manipulation of soft tissue to benefit a person engaged in regular physical activity. The application of sports massage, prior to and after exercise, may enhance performance, aid recovery and prevent injury.
Yoga is a complete exercise to create strength, flexibility, balance, by improving posture and awareness of the physical body. In addition it can help to manage and reduce the effects of the stresses of life.
Physiotherapy and Yoga create the perfect blend to assess, manage and improve a variety of physical aches and pains, assisting you in being stronger, confident and healthier both physically and mentally.
Yoga can be used as part of a rehabilitation program for a variety of conditions and patients-offering a whole body and mind work out that is relevant to each individual.
Small group and 1:1 Yoga sessions will also be available.
Aromatherapy a holistic healing treatment that uses natural plant extracts to promote health and well-being. Sometimes it's called essential oil therapy. Aromatherapy uses aromatic essential oils medicinally to improve the health of the body, mind, and spirit. It enhances both physical and emotional health. An additional bespoke Aromatherapy blend can be made for aftercare.
Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese Medicine that uses sterile needles into points along the body known as meridians. Acupuncture acts to reduce pain, induce relaxation and stimulate the bodies natural healing process.
Acupuncture is particularly beneficial for joint pain, headaches and migraine and can be used for many conditions alongside physiotherapy.
Kinesiology Tape (K-tape) is used to support and relieve pain in muscles, joints, and/or ligaments. It reduces swelling, increases mobility, supports proprioception and recovery. K-tape can be used to prevent or treat many common muscle and joint related injuries including: sprains, muscle strains, sub-luxations, and tendonitis. K- tape provides support and pain relief before, during, and/or after an activity. Range of motion is not limited.
K-tape enhances the body’s ability to heal itself, it can provide therapeutic relief to a variety of patients and conditions.

You will be fully guided and supported by a Chartered Physiotherapist with over 20 years experience and a specialist interest in the effects of pain on the body and mind.
No experience of Yoga is necessary. A medical screen will be required to join.

A Mummy MOT is a specialist postnatal examination following both vaginal and caesarean deliveries for any mum be it 6 weeks, 6 months or 6 years later!
Your MOT will:
Take space and time to reactivate your pelvic floor and deep core
Learn to realign and rebuild in the correct sequence
Learn to regain your core and return to activity sports you love
Up to half of all women experience weakness in both the abdominal muscles and pelvic floor muscles after pregnancy and up to a third still have a tummy gap at eight weeks post-birth.
This can cause instability or poor core strength leading to women developing pelvic or back pain or bladder, bowel and sexual dysfunction. These conditions should not be something you should just put up with as a result of having a baby.
MM Physio Mummy MOT assesses how your posture, pelvic floor muscles and stomach muscles are recovering after pregnancy. Providing exercises and treatment to help return you to full activity.
This in-depth assessment includes:
Postural screen
Pelvic floor assessment
Abdominal muscle check for any separation (diastasis recti)
Screening for bladder, bowel and sexual dysfunction
Education and advice on safe activities
